Cruising Dystopia
A downloadable game
Inspired by Queer theorist José Muñoz, Cruising Dystopia (CD) is a Roleplaying Board Game set in the not so far future, in a vision of London ravaged by climate change and corporate greed.
The world is dark and impersonal, and not constructed for those who live in it. Often, the comforts and rights of the majority are set aside in favour of those few willing to put aside their morals in favour of profit. Anti-establishment culture has undergone a huge resurgence, with many holding anti-corporate and anti-government sentiment, leading to clashes between the police and activist groups.
Over the course of this game, you’ll take on the role of another type of activist. You’ll play as Street Artists, Radical Academics, and Independent Journalists, working together to help those displaced by conflict or discarded by Corporations. You’ll work to repair, restore, and more importantly reclaim abandoned spaces within the city, under the nose of automated law enforcement and heavy surveillance, to make the city more liveable (and a little queerer) for those within it.
Welcome to Cruising Dystopia, we hope you enjoy your stay.
